CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


VINYASA YOGA FLOW

Vinyasa (translates to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Classes are often themed around anatomy, the natural world or spiritual intentions, allowing for the practice to not only be a physical practice but also bring a sense of connection with ourselves and the environment around us.

HATHA YOGA FLOW

Hatha Yoga is the oldest form of Yoga, it is the root of every other styles of Yoga that exist today. It is generally sequenced and practiced in a very specific way and integrated all aspects of Yoga, such as meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises) and asana (postures). It is perfect for those who are seeking a practice that takes them back to the roots and the wisdom of this ancient practice. 

 SLOW & RESTORATIVE YOGA

The main focus of Restorative Yoga is that by relaxing in poses, with the aid of props, without strain or pain, we can achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Restorative yoga classes are very relaxing and slow paced.

Our parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated when we relax into poses, which promotes a relaxation response and reduces stress in our bodies. 

YOGA & MINDFULNESS

In this class you will learn to find the resources within yourself to channel your mind, recenter & recharge with the tools of Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation. We will start with a gentle yoga practice to prepare the body for sitting followed by a meditation practice using different tools such as mantras, visualisation, intentions, etc.

POSTNATAL YOGA

 During this unique time of a woman’s life, a tailored yoga practice will support her health and wellbeing and bring balance and strength along this journey.

Postnatal Yoga focuses on:
– Postural work to relieve aches & muscles
– Build back tonicity 
– Build back strength, especially lower back, upper back and hips.
– Learning to use breathing techniques to manage stress & anxiety which is commonly associated to motherhood.

 YIN YOGA & SOUND MEDITATION

Yin Yoga is a slow pace style of Yoga. Postures are held for longer periods of time on the floor, allowing you to discover and connect to new layers within your body and mind.
Imagine all these incredible benefits as you surrender to the magical sounds of the himalayan singing bowls, chimes and other instruments that will make you feel calm, balanced and incredibly relaxed.

 

*please note that the sound session is not suitable to those suffering from epilepsy, are within the first 3 months of pregnancy, have a pacemaker or any other serious health diagnosis.
