Craniosacral Therapy

Anatomical Model

What is it

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle non-invasive and holistic treatment, that supports the body to
activate its self-regulating abilities.
The Craniosacral system consists of the membranes and fluids that protect the brain and the
spinal cord, (cerebrospinal fluid) as well as the attached bones; from the cranium, down the spine,
to the sacrum. The central nervous system and the cerebrospinal fluid in which the nervous system
bathes are central parts of the treatment. The Craniosacral system and the central nervous system
have a reciprocal influence on all of the other systems of our body, such as the digestive,
respiratory, cardiac and lymphatic system.
Our body is constantly striving for health. However the intense emotional, mental and physical
experiences that we have been through our life journey often blocks the flow of energy to move
through the body. Grounded in the physical body, we get in touch with the energetic essence, that
generates fluid movements and manifest as a biodynamic life force within the human system.

What it does

CST is thought to improve efficiency of biological processes through boosting inherent self-regulation, self-correction and self-healing. The therapy can be used successfully with children and adults.

What conditions may craniosacral therapy (CST) help?

  • Chronic pain.

  • Fibromyalgia.

  • Migraine headache.

  • Complex regional pain syndrome.

  • Fascial adhesions.

  • Multiple sclerosis.

  • Neuralgia.

  • Neurodegenerative diseases.

  • Temporo-mandibular joint syndrome.

  • Stroke.

  • Post-concussion syndrome.

  • Speech impairment.

  • Epilepsy.

The session

By listening to the body's subtle wave movements through an intuitively light touch, the system is
brought into stillness.
By holding a safe space with no judgment and heart presence, we set up the conditions to open
up. Unseen issues are shown and blockages and tension have the opportunity to dissolve.
After the treatment, the person will often experience deep relaxation, stillness and lightness.
However, each experience is unique according to the particular needs of each soul and can take
place at any dimension ( physical, mental, emotional and spiritual ). The states to be experienced
are infinitive as we are, unlimited and complete beings in a constant state of flow.

It is in the now when we can bring awareness to the areas that needs attention.
It is in the now when we can make space for something else to rise.
It is in the now where we can move forward.

The sessions are oriented to be with more harmony and balance within oneself and assists the
body’s innate capacity for healing. By bringing awareness to the areas that needs love and
attention, we can understand the wisdom that is here, available to us all the time.
